Much & Little is a repository of household goods, women’s clothing and everyday objects that embody simplicity, beauty, quality and function. While we source our products from all over - local and independent designers, heritage brands, and fair-trade artisans - there’s a common thread of thoughtful craftsmanship and timeless appeal.
Much & Little opened its doors in the Fall of 2011 in the vibrant community of Mount Pleasant, in Vancouver, BC. We wanted to create a warm and personal shop that offers timeless, well-made goods and clothing. Every item has been hand-picked for aesthetics, function, and the story behind it that creates lasting value. Our products come from near and far, but we have a special place in our hearts for independent designers and artisans, and other small businesses.
In early 2014 we expanded our space to accommodate a growing collection of women’s apparel and accessories. In keeping with the original vision of the shop, we offer clothes from creative and conscious designers with timeless appeal. Our brands range from local and North American-made designers, to smaller hard-to-find European and Australian lines.
In 2018 rising rents and the reality of gentrification put the viability of the business into question. But we put our heads down and moved into a smaller space next door. And we’re thrilled to maintain our base in the community we love. We also (finally!) launched our online shop. This marks a new chapter for Much & Little and we’re excited for what the future brings. Full steam ahead!
We cannot thank our customers enough for the support throughout the years. It’s been wonderful sharing laughs (and sometimes tears), getting to know you, seeing your children grow, and becoming friends. Thank you so much for choosing to shop independent and local. None of this would be possible without you.
