It's hard to deny the seasonal shift - fall is here, with it's telltale crisp mornings, leaf-carpeted sidewalks and shorter days. If you're anything like us, this change in the weather is the signal to get out your favourite cozy sweaters and an excuse to pick up something new. Our racks are filling up with beautiful pieces that will breath some new life into your wardrobe and last for years to come.

Here’s a peak at what you can expect in store this season:

New Brand: La Petite Française

We’re very excited to be carrying La Petite Francaise! This Paris-based brand has been serving everyday sophistication since 1991. They’re known for combining elegance and comfort to create an inimitable Parisian look.

    Why we love it:

    • Eye catching prints
    • Feminine cuts with boyish charm
    • Exceptional attention to detail - from velvet buttons to unique trims
    • Easy to wear sophistication
    • Their collections are 100% designed and 95% manufactured in France

    Fall Fabrics

Fall is all about layers and creating visual interest through textures. Long-time favourites Elk and 7115 by Szeki have hit the store with cozy cardigans and uniquely knit pullovers; we’re especially excited about the Curly Turtleneck from 7115. This fleecy pullover will be your go-to for curling up at home or running out to grab coffee with friends.

New fabrics from Black Crane have to be seen to be believed. The Crew Neck Pullover and Long Bud Dress are made from 90% wool, so you'll stay warm until spring, but the weave is soft and so lightweight you won't feel any bulk. Plus, Black Crane has used special Japanese fray prevention technology for a raw edges that look clean and finished.

New to us this season is the made in Europe knitwear brand Maevy Concepts. Ethically made from sustainably sourced, natural materials, they’re the perfect cold-day companion. Look for their chenille pieces - Maevy has kept this nostalgic knit modern with silhouettes like a midi-tube skirt and an oversized raglan pullover.

Neutrals always rule fall, and we do have some gorgeous chestnuts and rusts this season, but who can deny a rich pop of colour. Bold pinks, vibrant oranges, and rich jewel tones keep things bright and happy, even on the dreariest days.

    Shine On

The holidays are just around the corner, and with that comes a reason to add a little glitz to your outfit. Des Petites Hauts is known for their whimsical, feminine styles and this season they’ve elevated their knits with touches of gold. The “Slice Me Nice” top by Montreal designer Eve Gravel pairs a shining jacquard knit with statement sleeves for the perfect party look.
